[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM on the 14th, 21 new confirmed cases were reported since 5 PM the previous day.
By region, there were 11 in Jinju, 4 in Gimhae, 2 in Sacheon, 2 in Yangsan, 1 in Changwon, and 1 in Geoje.
Among the confirmed cases in Jinju, one was related to the Seoul metropolitan area and was classified as case number 3187 after testing positive.
Eight cases were classified as numbers 3194 to 3201 after testing positive following contact with confirmed cases within the province.
The remaining two tested positive after voluntarily getting tested due to symptoms and were classified as cases 3202 and 3203. Their infection routes are under investigation.
Among the confirmed cases in Gimhae, one was classified as case 3185 after testing positive following contact with a confirmed case within the province.
Two cases were related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center; they tested positive after developing symptoms during quarantine and were classified as cases 3186 and 3188. This brings the total number of confirmed cases related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center to 27.
Another case tested positive after experiencing symptoms and was classified as case 3204. The infection route is under investigation.
Among the confirmed cases in Sacheon, one who had contact with a confirmed case within the province and one who voluntarily got tested due to symptoms were classified as cases 3192 and 3193, respectively.
Two confirmed cases in Yangsan and one in Geoje tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 3190, 3191, and 3181, respectively.
Among them, case 3181 in Geoje was confirmed to be working at a daycare center in Geoje. Health authorities tested a total of 169 people, including 146 children and 23 staff members at the daycare center. The test results showed 154 negative cases. The rest are still undergoing testing.
The one confirmed case in Changwon was classified as case 3189 after contact with a confirmed case related to the Seoul metropolitan area.
Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province increased to 3,201 (225 hospitalized, 2,962 discharged, 14 deceased).
