[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 14th that it has selected operators to run permanent experiential tourism products at four sites within the Three Major Cultural Zones projects, including Gimcheon Samyeongdaesa Park, and will begin full-scale operations at the end of April.

Earlier, through a public contest announced by the Gyeongbuk Cultural Tourism Corporation, the Three Major Cultural Zones projects attracted permanent experiential products such as ▲Gimcheon Samyeongdaesa Park's 'Hanboknam' ▲Andong Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex's 'Mobile-based Outdoor Mission Game' ▲Mungyeong Ecorala's 'City Circus' ▲Yecheon Samgang Cultural Complex's 'Samgang Jumak'.

The selected experiential tourism products are expected to encompass various generations, from the MZ generation to small family groups, by linking local tourism resources including the Three Major Cultural Zones projects with unique travel experiences through Han (韓) cultural content and mobile-based outdoor mission games incorporating ICT content.

Following the recruitment of operators for these experiential tourism products, Gyeongsangbuk-do plans to proactively respond to changes in distribution and consumption channels due to the travel industry's trend toward boundaryless operations by launching a public contest for integrated online and offline tourism product sales operators from mid-April.

Governor Lee Cheol-woo stated, "We plan to revitalize the spaces of the Three Major Cultural Zones projects through a private-led approach that matches local tourism infrastructure with ideas from excellent tourism businesses, moving away from the institution-centered tourism product supply structure."
