LG Objet Collection Wins Design Awards at Red Dot and iF Design Awards

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] LG Electronics announced on the 14th that its space interior home appliance 'Objet Collection' has won the 'Red Dot Design Award' and the 'iF Design Award.' These two awards are considered among the world's top three design awards along with the American IDEA.

The Red Dot Design Award, hosted by the Design Center of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany, received over 7,800 product entries this year. LG Electronics stated that it won a total of 31 main awards at the Red Dot Design Award 2021, including products from the Objet Collection, the PuriCare 360-degree Air Purifier Alpha, PuriCare Dual Water Purifier, and LG Gram.

LG Objet Collection received a total of six awards for the WashTower, Styler, vacuum cleaner, Whisen Tower, the top refrigerator bottom freezer refrigerator and kimchi refrigerator package, and the 1-door refrigerator, freezer, and kimchi convertible refrigerator.

LG Electronics introduced that all Objet Collection products won the main award for CMF (Color, Material, Finish), which is a core element to complete the design. LG Electronics collaborated with the American Pantone Color Institute to develop the calm and comfortable colors of the LG Objet Collection, and in terms of materials, customers can choose from various materials such as Fenix, which is mainly used in high-end furniture when purchasing.

LG Electronics also announced that it won four main awards at the iF Design Award 2021 for the Objet Collection top refrigerator bottom freezer refrigerator and kimchi refrigerator package, 1-door refrigerator, freezer, and kimchi convertible refrigerator, air purifier, and vacuum cleaner. Including these, a total of 28 LG Electronics products received awards. Specifically, 24 awards were received in the product category and 4 in the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) categories.

LG NanoCell TV, Micro LED signage LG Magnit, LG Gram laptop, capsule-type craft beer maker LG HomeBrew, and LG PuriCare electronic mask were selected in the product category. In the UX/UI category, the software platform 'webOS' 6.0 and the 'LG UltraGear' gaming monitor were recognized for their UX competitiveness, LG Electronics mentioned.
