[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced that it will administer Pfizer vaccines to 315 people at 11 elderly day and night welfare facilities (hereinafter elderly facilities) in conjunction with the opening of the Hamyang-gun Vaccination Center on the 15th.

This corresponds to a consent rate of 87.7% out of the total 359 vaccination targets at elderly facilities. Except for those who inevitably did not consent due to health issues, all workers and users within the facilities will be vaccinated on the opening day to proactively respond to recent cluster infections occurring in nursing facilities within the province.

For the vaccination on that day, vaccination times are pre-assigned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and each facility is conducting transportation drills for the targets to ensure safe vaccination for all recipients.

Additionally, if there is a change in willingness to be vaccinated due to health improvement during the vaccination period, vaccinations will be administered to improve the vaccination rate and secure herd immunity.

A county official stated, “We ask for active participation in vaccination so that more targets can be vaccinated to block the spread of COVID-19 in the community through safe vaccination and to secure herd immunity.”
