[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] HanmiGlobal and the social welfare corporation Warm Walk announced on the 13th that they completed the '2020 Vietnam Spatial Welfare Support Project' to improve the living environment of families with disabilities in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam, on the 12th.

HanmiGlobal and Warm Walk announced that they successfully completed the housing environment improvement project for five families with disabilities through the 'Vietnam Spatial Welfare Support Project' last year.

The completion ceremony held on the 12th in Hung Long Commune, Hai Duong Province, was attended by key figures including the disabled families who received support from the project, Shim Jae-geuk, Executive Director of HanmiGlobal Vietnam Corporation, the Hung Long Commune People's Committee, and the March 8 Women and Disabled Center under the Hai Duong Women's Union.

The elder brother of the Vietnamese family representative Tran Dac Thang said, "The change to a safe and clean space brought us indescribable joy," adding, "My younger brother has disabilities that prevent him from hearing or speaking, but as his elder brother, I can feel his happiness and sincerely express my gratitude."

Kim Jong-hoon, Chairman of HanmiGlobal, said, "Despite the difficult situation due to COVID-19, I am honored to be able to help families with disabilities in Vietnam as well as in Korea through the spatial welfare support project," and added, "I thank all those involved in the support project and will continue to devote efforts to social contribution activities to create a 'warm world without disabilities.'"

Since 2010, HanmiGlobal and Warm Walk have been promoting the 'Spatial Welfare Support Project' to improve the living environments of facilities and families with disabilities in Korea. In 2017, they also started overseas projects targeting families with disabilities in Vietnam and families of Korean War veterans in Ethiopia.
