KCC Glass to Supply Safety Glass for Ioniq 5

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] KCC Glass announced on the 13th that it will supply safety glass for Hyundai Motor's electric vehicle 'Ioniq 5'.

KCC Glass will supply all the vehicle glass for the Ioniq 5, including the front windshield, door glass, and rear glass. The company's safety glass is also applied to the latest technologies such as the 'Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR HUD)' and the solar charging roof called 'Solar Cell Roof,' supporting the advanced features of the Ioniq 5, according to the company.

A KCC Glass official said, "Supplying the Ioniq 5 has once again proven KCC Glass's competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to develop high-performance glass and supply products stably to lead the automotive safety glass market."

The Ioniq 5 is the first vehicle to apply Hyundai Motor's dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP. After starting pre-orders at the end of last month, about 35,000 units were contracted within a week.
