[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A report of an explosive device being planted at an apartment complex, where controversy arose over blocking delivery vehicles from accessing the ground-level road, prompted police and fire authorities to conduct a search, but no explosives were found.

According to police and fire officials on the 12th, the police received a report around 6 p.m. that an explosive device had been installed at Apartment Complex A. The police requested joint response from the fire department and searched the underground parking area, but no suspicious substances were found, and the search ended around 9 p.m.

Earlier, on the 1st, the residents' representative meeting of Apartment Complex A restricted delivery vehicles from passing through the ground-level road, citing concerns over safety accidents and facility damage. In response, the National Delivery Workers' Union protested, calling the ban on delivery vehicle access within the complex a typical abuse of power.

A police official stated, "After deploying the police special forces for a third search, no explosives were found," adding, "While we cannot definitively say it was a false report, we are tracking the reporter and investigating the authenticity of the report as part of an internal inquiry."
