Im Ki-ju, chairman of Hanmaek CC, has been inaugurated as the 6th president of the Korea Public Golf Course Association.
At the 2021 regular general meeting held on the 12th at Signiel Seoul in Jamsil, Seoul, Chairman Im was unanimously appointed. Moonho, president of Diamond CC, and Kim Tae-woo, president of Geumgang Centrium CC, were elected as auditors. In his inaugural speech, Chairman Im promised, "We will actively support strengthening safety management of golf course sports facilities, training specialized personnel in various golf course fields, enhancing management efficiency by applying 4th industrial revolution technologies, and areas such as course management and labor-management relations."
The association also announced its major business plans for the new year. These include improving the work capabilities of golf course employees through the operation and maintenance of golf course management equipment, certification of sports facility safety managers, implementation of a national registered private qualification system for caddies, activation of on-site diagnosis and consultation by BNBK, a course management advisory company, support for member companies' labor affairs in cooperation with Haedam, a labor specialized corporation, publication of an expanded edition of golf course safety and hygiene manuals, and business agreements with safety management specialized institutions.
