Gokseong-gun, Jippul Craft and Blacksmith Farming Experience in Train Village

Operation of Story-Based Experience Program

Gokseong-gun, Jippul Craft and Blacksmith Farming Experience in Train Village

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that the Jippul Craft Experience Center and Nakjukjangdo Exhibition Hall in Seomjingang Train Village are making vigorous efforts to renovate and strengthen experience programs, aiming to open by the end of this month.

The Jippul Craft Experience Center and Nakjukjangdo Exhibition Hall are located a little away from the center of the Train Village, so they failed to attract tourists' attention. Moreover, due to the impact of COVID-19, the number of visitors to the Train Village decreased, further reducing visitors. In response, the county is reorganizing to find a breakthrough by enhancing experience programs that children and family visitors can enjoy.

The Jippul Craft Experience Center is reorganizing the agricultural tools, Jippul craft, and folk belief exhibition halls. Through this, they plan to operate a story-type experience program connecting the agricultural lifestyle of sowing, growing, harvesting, and storing crops with Jippul craft.

A new blacksmith workshop will be established in the Nakjukjangdo Exhibition Hall. They are preparing family experience programs that children and parents can enjoy together, such as heating and quenching metal. In particular, they plan to enhance and diversify the experience programs through collaborative operation with the Angae Rural Experience Village.

A county official said, “Through the transformation of the Jippul Craft Experience Center and Nakjukjangdo Exhibition Hall, we will present programs where families can create memories together with new sights, experiences, and events.”
