[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NCSoft is expanding its 'Post Scholarship' program, which supports employees' student loan repayments, up to a maximum of 15 million KRW.
According to NCSoft on the 12th, the Post Scholarship program is a welfare system designed as a post-scholarship concept where the company supports employees in repaying their student loans incurred during their academic years.
From 2017 to 2020, the company supported new employees hired through open recruitment with up to 10 million KRW for undergraduate tuition loan repayment. This year, NCSoft is increasing the support amount to a maximum of 15 million KRW.
In addition to undergraduate tuition, the program now also supports repayment of master's degree tuition loans. The eligible recipients have been expanded to include not only new employees hired through open recruitment but also regular employees with less than two years of experience hired through occasional recruitment.
According to NCSoft, it is currently the only domestic company operating this program. Companies like Google and NVIDIA operate similar programs.
Koo Hyun-beom, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), said, "This program was devised with the intention of empathizing with and helping to resolve the difficulties and challenges faced by young students in our society," adding, "It is NCSoft's unique welfare system designed to help young employees take their first steps into society lightly and confidently."
