Walkerhill Hotel & Resort Opens New 'Geumryong Samil Building Branch'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Walkerhill Hotel & Resort announced that it will open a new business dining-focused Chinese restaurant, 'Geumryong Samil Building Branch,' on the 12th.

Located in the Cheonggyecheon-ro area of Jongno-gu, Seoul, 'Geumryong Samil Building Branch' offers the same brand, service, and Cantonese menu as the Chinese restaurant 'Geumryong' at the Grand Walkerhill Hotel. It operates by introducing a new form called 'Premium Business Dining,' reflecting the regional characteristics of a district dense with major business and commercial facilities and the demands of its primary clientele. To diversify dining options, it provides menus previously only available at Walkerhill Hotel in an external venue.

The menu at Geumryong Samil Building Branch is based on authentic Cantonese cuisine with contemporary cooking techniques, identical to Walkerhill’s Chinese restaurant Geumryong. However, both lunch and dinner are offered exclusively as course meals.

Each course, served as 'Matkimcharim (Omakase)' by a Cantonese cuisine specialist chef, features nourishing dishes made with fresh daily ingredients enhanced by Walkerhill Geumryong’s secret recipes. For lunch, there are three course menus in total: one hall-exclusive menu and two private dining-exclusive menus. Prices start from 65,000 KRW. During dinner hours, the basic course meal is priced at 200,000 KRW, with additional side dishes and pairing wines available for order.

The interior space accommodates a total of 70 seats. Of these, more than half?42 seats?are arranged in five private dining rooms, including one VIP room.

Meanwhile, an event to celebrate the opening has been prepared. Throughout April, all customers visiting Geumryong Samil Building Branch will receive a welcome drink, and free wine pairing service will be offered for one week after the opening.

Geumryong Samil Building Branch operates Monday through Friday, with lunch hours from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner hours from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
