[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Financial Security Institute announced that it has been selected as the security inspection agency for the government's '2021 Fintech Security Support Project' and will begin inspections starting from the 12th.
As the Financial Services Commission supports 75% of the security inspection costs for small and medium-sized fintech companies, small and medium fintech companies participating in the financial testbed and open banking or registered as online investment-linked finance operators can receive support for fintech company security inspections and fintech service vulnerability inspection costs.
Details such as types of security inspections, application procedures, and contracts can be found on the Financial Security Institute's website.
Kim Young-ki, President of the Financial Security Institute, stated, "Small and medium fintech companies will be able to develop and provide safer and more innovative financial services, and financial consumers will be able to use them conveniently. We will continuously strive to strengthen fintech security to support the Financial Services Commission's digital finance innovation policy without any setbacks and to establish a safe fintech and digital finance foundation."
