A Total of 60,000 Applicants for After-School Instructors
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service announced on the 11th that it will accept online applications for the '2nd Temporary Support Fund Project,' which provides 500,000 won per person to home care workers and after-school instructors, from the 12th to the 23rd. The target is home care service workers with an income of 13 million won or less last year, and the payment is expected to be made as early as the end of next month.
The support targets are workers in seven types of home care services: home nursing care service, customized elderly care, disability activity support, care for disabled children, housekeeping and nursing service, maternity and newborn service, and child care providers, as well as after-school instructors. Workers in these occupations can receive the support fund regardless of employment insurance subscription or business registration status. However, as of the 6th, they must be engaged in eligible work and have provided labor for at least 60 hours per month for six months or more last year. Their income last year must also be 13 million won or less.
After-school instructors whose working hours were forcibly reduced due to school class reductions last year can receive the support fund by submitting a 'Contract Confirmation Letter' stamped with the school principal's seal.
Those who received the 3rd and 4th Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund or the 1st Temporary Support Fund for home care workers are not eligible for this support fund. For more details, please check the call center or the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service website.
Kang Soonhee, the director of the Service, emphasized, "Since this support fund is prepared to alleviate the difficulties of home care workers even a little, please check the eligibility requirements and be sure to apply."
