[Golf Topic] ‘Jeonbok Accident’ Woods ‘Confused Florida for LA?’

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…‘Golf Emperor’ Tiger Woods (USA, photo) was confirmed to have mistaken the location of the vehicle rollover accident.

On the 10th (Korean time), the US ESPN cited a 22-page report related to the accident from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in California. "Woods thought he was in Florida, not near Los Angeles, immediately after the vehicle he was driving overturned in February," it said. It was reported that he had no memory related to the accident afterward and thought he was in Florida, according to the report.

Woods was driving near Los Angeles when the vehicle overturned, severely injuring both legs. He was driving a Genesis SUV GV80, and it was investigated that he was driving at a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour (140 km/h) on a road with a speed limit of 45 miles per hour (72 km/h), and at 75 miles per hour (121 km/h) when hitting a tree. Furthermore, the police concluded that the accident occurred because he pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake on a curved road. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at his home in Florida.
