Rice Delivered to 167 Crisis Families Facing Economic Hardships Due to COVID-19 Spread

The sponsored goods were prepared as part of the "Rice Support Project for Local Underprivileged Children's Families with Lee Seunggi Fan Union AIREN," which supports rice for the healthy growth and development of about 500 children nationwide.
Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters delivered 167 bags of 20kg rice to the Gwangju Support Group of the Local Children's Center, planning to support 167 children from low-income families in the local community who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the spread of COVID-19.
Bae Junyeol, Director of Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, said, "The number of children facing food insecurity is increasing due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," and added, "The protection of developmental rights for children in crisis families requires much attention from the local community."
Choi Kangnim, Director of the Gwangju Support Group of the Local Children's Center, stated, "This will be a great help to crisis families facing difficulties such as poverty and unemployment in the Gwangju area," and added, "We will deliver it to families in need to ensure the healthy growth and development of children at risk of food insecurity."
