Samsung Launches Galaxy Virtual Experience Website
'iTest' Advertising in New Zealand
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] An official simulation website allowing iPhone users to virtually experience Galaxy smartphones has been launched.
On the 8th (local time), according to IT specialized media MacRumors, Samsung Electronics is advertising the Galaxy device virtual simulation website 'iTest' in New Zealand.
When Apple iPhone users visit the iTest website on their iPhones, a message prompting them to install the web app on their home screen appears.
Upon entering the app, a Galaxy smartphone home screen with various apps and settings options runs. Users can download themes through the Galaxy Store or access messaging and phone apps. Calls and messages explaining Galaxy features are received.
Additional functions including the camera are also introduced. A camera usage tutorial by famous influencer and photographer Logan Dodds is provided, showing available photo options. The 'Galaxy Wearable', 'Samsung Kids', and 'Samsung Health' apps can also be explored.
It is observed that Samsung, a competitor to Apple, is implementing a marketing strategy to attract iPhone users. MacRumors evaluated it as "a useful way to explore features without owning a Galaxy device" and "Samsung's ambitious effort to attract iPhone users."
