[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the morning of the 8th, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province held an ontact video conference in the county governor's office between Seo Chun-soo, the governor of Hamyang-gun, and Ade Yasin, the regent of Bogor Regency, Indonesia, an international sister city.

Since signing a friendship exchange agreement with Bogor Regency in September 2019, there have been no direct visits due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), but non-face-to-face exchanges have been continuously conducted online.

In this video conference, they discussed the COVID-19 situation in each country, the 2021 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo, holding regular meetings, and mutual cooperative development through expanded exchanges between the two cities.

In particular, officials from the Gyeongnam Province Jakarta office and the provincial investment advisor attended the video conference to share opinions, raising expectations for active exchanges in economic, cultural, and export fields between Hamyang-gun and Bogor Regency in the future.

Governor Seo said, "I am glad to meet the regent of Bogor and provincial officials through video," and added, "I hope COVID-19 will end soon so that we can expect active exchanges in various fields, including visits to Hamyang-gun during the Expo period."

Ade Yasin, the regent of Bogor, mentioned the need for regular meetings to discuss mutual development such as work sharing and human exchanges between the two local governments, and said, "I wish for the successful hosting of the Expo to be held this September and will actively promote it."

Meanwhile, the county plans to continue online and offline exchange activities targeting international sister cities ahead of the 2021 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo and the post-COVID-19 era.
