Environmental Education at a Glance! Operation of the 'Climate Environmental Education Sharing Center'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education will operate the ‘Climate Environment Education Sharing Space’ on the Gyeongnam-type Future Education Support Platform ‘iTalkTalk’ starting from the 8th to share climate environment education materials between schools and to spread climate action practices.

Teachers belonging to the ‘Climate Crisis Response Education Practice Teacher Group,’ who lead eco-friendly practices and environmental education at schools, voluntarily designed and organized the Sharing Space menu to enable the exchange of the most necessary information in school settings.

This reflects the opinion that although the Gyeongnam Office of Education is promoting ecological environment education as one of the four major tasks of educational transformation this year, environmental education materials are scattered across multiple sites, making them difficult to use easily.

Won Ki-bok, Director of Future Education at the Gyeongnam Office of Education, said, “The Climate Environment Education Sharing Space within iTalkTalk was designed from the beginning with the priority of supporting difficulties in the educational field, so it will be used as a place to share teaching materials and information necessary for the educational field.”
