Lee Jae-myung "I Will Engrave the Stern Result in My Heart... Always Together with the Democratic Party"

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, stated that he will deeply engrave the solemn results of the April 7 by-elections in his heart. He also named each candidate from the Democratic Party who ran in this election to encourage them and added that he will always stand with the Democratic Party.

On the 8th, through Facebook, Governor Lee said, "I will deeply engrave the solemn results (of this election) in my heart," and "I feel a heavy sense of responsibility as a member of the party."

He continued, "I promise to get closer to the people, share their pain more desperately, and reflect more intensely to solve problems."

Governor Lee did not forget to encourage the candidates who ran in this election.

He said, "Candidate Park Young-sun and Candidate Kim Young-choon, you really worked hard," and added, "Also, I extend words of comfort to Candidate Kim Seok-gyeom of Nam-gu, Ulsan; Candidate Kim Chung-gyu of Uiryeong, Gyeongnam; Candidate Kim Seung-sik of Gangbuk, Seoul; Candidate Shin Dong-hwa of Guri, Gyeonggi; Candidate Kim Ki-jun of Boeun, Chungbuk; Candidate Jeong Gwon-yong of Uiryeong, Gyeongnam; Candidate Ryu Jeong-yeol of Goseong, Gyeongnam; Candidate Jeong Jae-gak of Hamyang, Gyeongnam; Candidate Yang Song-i of Yeongdeungpo, Seoul; Candidate Bae Shin-jeong of Songpa, Seoul; Candidate Kim Ki-rak of Ulju, Ulsan; Candidate Son Seong-ik of Paju, Gyeonggi; Candidate Lee Heung-yeop of Yesan, Chungnam; and Candidate Jo Ho-gi of Haman, Gyeongnam, who all fought hard under the name of the Democratic Party at the by-election sites despite difficult circumstances."

He also said, "There are four elected members," and expressed, "I extend my gratitude and congratulations to Elected Member Han Chun-ok of the 1st electoral district of Suncheon City, Elected Member Park Seon-jun of the 2nd electoral district of Goheung County, Elected Member Kim Seung-il of the Na electoral district of Gimje City, and Elected Member Jo Young-nam of the Da electoral district of Boseong County."

Finally, Governor Lee once again encouraged party members, comrades, and supporters by saying, "You really worked hard," and conveyed, "I will always be with (the Democratic Party)."
