GS Fresh Mall, Dedicated Ultra-Low Price Vegetable Section Operated Continuously... Sales Increase by 620%

GS Fresh Mall, Dedicated Ultra-Low Price Vegetable Section Operated Continuously... Sales Increase by 620% GS Fresh Mall has decided to operate a dedicated section for ultra-low-priced vegetables on a regular basis.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS Fresh Mall announced on the 8th that it will operate a dedicated ultra-low price vegetable section (dedicated section) on a regular basis, selecting about 50 types of vegetables with the highest daily price sensitivity and selling them under an ultra-low price concept. This decision comes after a pilot operation from the 24th of last month to the 6th of this month showed that sales in the dedicated section increased by 620% compared to the same period last year.

To secure price competitiveness for products in the ultra-low price vegetable section, GS Fresh Mall monitors prices of similar products on major online malls and adjusts its pricing policy twice daily. Also, considering consumers' concerns about freshness management when purchasing fresh food online, GS Fresh Mall has applied a cold chain system throughout the entire process?from receiving, displaying, picking, to delivery?of products from well-known domestic production areas.

GS Fresh Mall plans to expand this concept to categories such as meat and fruit in the future and actively promote it through live commerce and other channels.

A GS Retail official stated, “GS Fresh Mall aims to contribute to stabilizing food prices by operating fresh vegetables, ranked number one in consumer price sensitivity, with high quality and ultra-low prices 365 days a year. We will develop freshness maintenance, which has been considered a limitation of online malls, into our greatest strength, greatly contributing to synergy with GS Homeshopping after the merger.”
