Tiger Elec's main business is manufacturing flexible and other printed circuit boards. It primarily produces high-multilayer and fine pitch PCBs used in semiconductor inspection processes. The company has possessed PCB production technology know-how since 1991. Through design and manufacturing aligned with market trends, it has commercialized numerous products. It developed PCBs for semiconductor inspection equipment by applying existing PCB manufacturing technology for electronic devices. It has continuously grown by supplying high-quality products to domestic and international semiconductor inspection equipment companies. Based on solid technological capabilities, it leads the PCB market for semiconductor inspection equipment. When new investments proceed, the number of post-process test equipment increases, and demand for probe cards also rises.
Last year, operating profit was 5.8 billion KRW, a 300.5% increase compared to the previous year. During the same period, sales rose 24.2% to 43.5 billion KRW. The company explained that "due to the semiconductor boom, performance and sales structure have improved."
The U.S. economic and security advisor plans to invite semiconductor and automotive companies such as Samsung Electronics, GlobalFoundries, and GM to a White House meeting to discuss measures to address the semiconductor shortage. A White House official stated that they plan to discuss the global semiconductor shortage's impact and future directions, involving the U.S. Congress and overseas allies as well.
