Flight attendants are receiving training in hall serving and other skills to prepare for the Jeju Air in-flight meal cafe.
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Jeju Air announced on the 5th that it will open an in-flight meal cafe operated directly by flight attendants.
The name of Jeju Air's in-flight meal cafe is "Tasting the Happiness of Travel," and it will open next month on the 1st floor of AK & Hongdae in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The in-flight meal cafe is scheduled to operate for about three months.
Flight attendants will serve four popular cabin menu items: Bulgogi rice bowl, Black pork rice bowl, Green onion wrap bulgogi, and flight attendant in-flight meals. Flight attendants will also prepare and sell various beverages, including coffee.
At the cafe, customers can purchase Jeju Air souvenirs and enjoy events such as "Balloon Art" conducted by flight attendants.
A Jeju Air official said, "We are preparing the first in-flight meal experience cafe in a domestic airline where flight attendants provide the menu," adding, "It will be a special space where people can feel the sentiment of travel during a time when overseas travel is difficult."
