[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] The US Navy destroyer USS Mustin reportedly approached the Yangtze River estuary in the East China Sea, Hong Kong Ming Pao reported on the 4th.

According to the report, the South China Sea Strategic Posture Initiative (SCSPI), a platform under the Marine Research Institute of Peking University in China, revealed via Weibo yesterday that based on analysis of the Automatic Identification System (AIS), the USS Mustin departed from Yokosuka Port, Japan on the 27th of last month, appeared near the Yangtze River estuary in the East China Sea, and then moved southward.

China's Global Times also reported in relation to this that "the US military has been frequently moving in the East China Sea recently." The Global Times previously reported that a US Navy destroyer and a Japanese Aegis-class destroyer conducted training in the East China Sea.
