Recruitment of Startup Companies for the '2021 Early Startup Package Project'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongseo University has launched a large-scale ‘startup’ support project.
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced that it is operating the ‘2021 Early Startup Package’ project to discover outstanding local entrepreneurs with promising startup items and advanced technologies and support their startup activities, and is recruiting early-stage startup companies until April 15.
The ‘Early Startup Package’ project, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, is a program that supports the growth of early-stage startups with advanced technologies and promising startup items through universities and institutions with excellent startup support capabilities, including prototype production, investment attraction, and market development.
Dongseo University has been selected for the Early Startup Package support project (Ministry of SMEs and Startups, approximately 7.5 billion KRW over 3 years) since 2020. It was also selected for the Leading University for Laboratory Startups project (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and ICT, approximately 3 billion KRW over 3 years) and the Maker Space establishment and operation project (Ministry of SMEs and Startups, approximately 800 million KRW over 5 years), completing a full-cycle startup support platform that connects the outcomes of startup education to actual startups.
Based on this platform, Dongseo University provides specialized programs centered on its core strategy, the ‘LEGO Startup Support Platform’ and ‘Dongseo Angel Investment Funding,’ with seven detailed strategies including All-Set consulting, Two-Track investment attraction, LEGO Startup Academy, and practical startup education.
Additionally, through the startup support hub established on campus at Dream. E. Vally, which includes ‘incubation center space for resident companies,’ ‘LVT-based technology-intensive startup base,’ and ‘untact video conferencing platform,’ one-stop startup support services are also available.
Jung Do-woon, head of Dongseo University’s Startup Support Group, said, “We will support successful startups through Dongseo University’s full-cycle startup support platform,” and added, “It will serve as a regional hub for startup revitalization and growth support.”
Representatives of startups within three years who wish to participate in the ‘2021 Early Startup Package’ can apply online by selecting ‘Dongseo University’ on the K-Startup website.
