[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Kim Jung Moon Aloe announced on the 31st that its women's health functional food "Women’s Level Up W," launched last month exclusively for door-to-door sales, surpassed 5,000 sets sold within one month of release.
Released on the 19th of last month, "Women’s Level Up W" is a dual-functional product primarily composed of "MS-10 Milk Thistle Complex Extract" and "Gamma-Linolenic Acid." Since its launch, cumulative sales have exceeded 5,000 sets (sales revenue of 1.7 billion KRW) within one month.
"MS-10 Milk Thistle Complex Extract" is an individually recognized ingredient approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and has been registered as a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) after proving its safety. Human trials confirmed its benefits in improving 12 menopausal symptom indices (KI) including facial flushing, sensory abnormalities, sleep disorders, nervousness, depression, headaches, dizziness, fatigue, muscle and joint pain, palpitations, formication, and vaginal dryness, as well as supporting bone health and stabilizing systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
It also showed effectiveness in improving the Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire (MENQOL), which consists of 27 detailed items covering physical, psychosocial, sexual, and vasomotor symptoms.
Gamma-Linolenic Acid, a type of omega-6 fatty acid, is known to help improve blood cholesterol and circulation, as well as skin conditions caused by immune hypersensitivity reactions. It is also effective in alleviating premenstrual syndrome, which causes various physical and psychological changes. This product maximizes efficacy by using "Borage Oil," which contains about 2 to 3 times more gamma-linolenic acid than evening primrose oil.
A representative from Kim Jung Moon Aloe stated, "The new product ‘Women’s Level Up W’ is a total care product for women’s health emphasizing safety and functionality. It has received great response as it manages overall health with a daily intake of 2 capsules twice a day. We will continue to focus on developing various health functional foods that contribute to improving consumers’ health and quality of life."
Meanwhile, Kim Jung Moon Aloe introduced "Estroplagen," which helps overcome menopausal symptoms using plant-based female hormones, in 2001 and has continued research and development of health functional foods for female consumers for 20 years since then.
