Dongjak-gu, Fostering Next-Generation Core Talent and 4th Industrial Digital Workforce

Recruitment of Implementing Agencies for 9 Days from April 1... Achieving Employment Rate Over 70% After Training

Dongjak-gu, Fostering Next-Generation Core Talent and 4th Industrial Digital Workforce Young people are having a content creation meeting related to the 4th Industrial Revolution.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] At the 49th World Economic Forum (Davos Forum) held in 2019, the theme was “Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era,” discussing ▲the future of the economy reflecting the Fourth Industrial Revolution era ▲industry systems and technology policies related to new technologies ▲human resources, society, and institutional reforms.

In line with this global trend, Dongjak-gu (Mayor Chang-woo Lee) will actively promote a next-generation core talent development project to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Digital Era by December.

This project was initiated to actively respond to the increased demand for non-face-to-face and digital industry job training due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to cultivate next-generation core talents equipped with expertise and innovation, and to support youth employment by linking to recruitment in related industrial fields.

Last year, through two training courses including data science and IoT expert training, 43 people completed the program, producing 16 employment or startup cases, showing a high average training satisfaction rate of 85%.

First, from April 1 to 9, institutions will be recruited to faithfully carry out the next-generation core talent development project and the Fourth Industrial Digital Workforce Training course.

The recruitment target is training institutions specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and applied software engineering located in Seoul, which have signed agreements with more than 50 companies capable of linking to employment, and can achieve an employment rate of over 70% within six months after training completion.

Institutions wishing to participate should prepare the project application form and proposal and either visit the Job Policy Division or submit them via email to the next-generation core talent development project (Artificial Intelligence AI) manager at s12082930@dongjak.go.kr, or the Fourth Industrial Digital Workforce Training project (Big Data, Applied Software Engineering) manager at k7101415@dongjak.go.kr.

The district plans to review ▲related project performance ▲training infrastructure ▲appropriateness of the project plan ▲operational planning ability and expertise during April, and make the final selection and sign agreements in May.

The selected training institutions will recruit trainees and operate practical theory education and company-linked project-based curricula in collaboration with hiring (or prospective) companies.

Additionally, industry experts will participate as instructors and mentors to provide ongoing counseling and career guidance to trainees, focusing on supporting project and portfolio creation to maximize employment linkage.

Yoon So-yeon, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “Through this project, we will strengthen capabilities in the digital technology field and create youth jobs by linking employment in related fields. We look forward to the participation of many capable companies.”
