On the 31st, held on the YouTube channel ‘Gwangju Changjo Economy Innovation Center’
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 29th that it will hold the ‘2021 Startup Support Institutions Integrated Project Briefing’ online at 2 p.m. on the 31st through the YouTube channel ‘Gwangju Creative Economy Innovation Center,’ where local startup support related organizations explain the projects they are promoting this year in one place.
This briefing session is hosted by Gwangju City and jointly organized by local startup-related organizations in Gwangju, including Gwangju Technopark, Chonnam National University Technology Holdings Company, Gwangju Creative Economy Innovation Center, Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, and the Invention Promotion Association Gwangju Branch, and was promoted through the startup support public-private cooperation (governance) ‘Working-level Council’ to revitalize startup support.
The briefing will introduce all fields from employment needed by prospective entrepreneurs to startup support projects for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The main programs include an introduction to Gwangju City’s overall startup projects and an introduction to more than 20 startup support projects ranging from central government projects to local government projects operated by startup institutions. It will provide information on intellectual property support for prospective entrepreneurs, startup support projects for early-stage entrepreneurs and leap-stage entrepreneurs, investment attraction, and technology commercialization.
Son Hang-hwan, Director of Corporate Development at the city, said, “Through the integrated briefing session with startup support institutions, we will combine the technologies and capabilities possessed by each institution to make Gwangju a city good for startups and revitalize startups in the region,” and added, “We will work harder to support Gwangju City so that it can play the role of a control tower.”
