[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with Korea East-West Power to pioneer overseas markets for small and medium venture businesses and promote mutual growth.
The two organizations agreed to join forces to support export activation and mutual growth of small and medium venture companies in the power generation sector, such as electrical equipment manufacturers, through linked support projects. Utilizing SBC's online and offline channels, they will expand export support for East-West Power partner companies and assist their entry into overseas procurement markets. They will also strengthen cooperation in mutual information exchange and joint promotion of support projects between the institutions.
Specifically, they will comprehensively provide support such as ▲establishing online export infrastructure including entry into GoBizKorea ▲online and offline marketing support ▲education and consulting for entry into overseas procurement markets ▲local market entry support using export incubator (BI) overseas bases to help successfully pioneer overseas markets.
The two organizations signed a win-win type Tomorrow Filling Deduction agreement in 2018 to support long-term employment of key personnel from East-West Power partner companies, and have so far supported 12 companies and 38 people with 222 million KRW. It is expected that the collaboration between the two organizations will be further strengthened for comprehensive support and mutual growth covering everything from exports to personnel for partner companies in the future.
Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "We will support the overseas market entry of small and medium venture businesses struggling due to COVID-19 by utilizing GoBizKorea, Korea's representative B2B online export platform operated by SBC, and overseas bases," adding, "We will join hands with East-West Power to make this a representative successful case of mutual growth between public institutions and small and medium venture businesses."
