[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Shin Ji-hye, candidate number 6 from the Basic Income Party, who is running in the April 7 Seoul mayoral by-election, criticized candidate number 2 Oh Se-hoon from the People Power Party, accusing his campaign vehicle of obstructing her election campaign.
On the 27th, Shin posted on her blog a post titled "Oh Se-hoon's reckless campaign obstruction, it's clear how he will treat Seoul citizens if elected mayor."
Shin said, "Something absurd happened while I was campaigning in the evening near Hongdae," adding, "While I was giving a speech, Oh's side blocked our campaign vehicle with their car. When a detective from the Mapo District Office's intelligence division tried to mediate, the campaign staff who had parked (presumed to be a National Assembly aide) ran away."

She continued, "Later, I heard that (Oh's side) even impersonated district office officials and shouted to move our campaign vehicle," adding, "Usually, when encountering another campaign during election activities, the time slots are coordinated unless it is the last day of campaigning. However, Oh's side not only refused to coordinate but blocked us with their vehicle and fled."
She also said, "Today, Representative Yong Hye-in, who was campaigning earlier in Songpa, coordinated her campaign time upon request from Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party candidate. But Oh's side, who 10 years ago threw a tantrum over children's meals and abandoned the mayoral position, now during this campaign asking for another chance, obstructs other candidates' campaigns and abandons vehicles before fleeing."
Shin questioned Oh, "Where is your promise to create a fair Seoul?" and criticized, "Not only are there endless lies, but your basic attitude towards opponents is wrong. You do not hesitate to commit illegal acts even for small gains, so how can you represent the citizens?"
Shin concluded her post by saying, "All citizens are watching. Oh Se-hoon, stop your abusive campaign tactics."
