Noh Hyun-song, District Mayor, "I Will Focus My Efforts on Reviving the Stagnant Local Economy"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Roh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended the ‘2021 Gangseo-gu Chamber of Commerce General Assembly’ held at The New Convention Wedding Hall at 6 p.m. on the 25th to encourage the efforts of businesspeople dedicated to revitalizing the local economy.

The general assembly, held with a minimum number of attendees due to COVID-19, reviewed and approved agenda items including ▲2020 business performance report ▲2021 business plan and budget (draft) ▲election of executives.

At the subsequent commendation ceremony, 23 meritorious individuals who contributed to the development of the local economy despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19 were each awarded commendations from the Mayor of Seoul, the Mayor of Gangseo-gu, the President of the Seoul Chamber of Commerce, and the President of the Gangseo-gu Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Roh Hyun-song said, “I deeply thank the small and medium-sized business owners who cooperate to revive the local economy and overcome the employment crisis despite the difficult situation caused by COVID-19. The district office will also implement various policies to revitalize the stagnant local economy, including support for employment retention, job creation, and assistance for self-employed and small business owners.”
