YJM Games Signs Digital Therapeutics Technology Development Agreement with Catholic Kwandong University Health and Medical Convergence Research Institute

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] YJM Games announced on the 23rd that its affiliate One Immers has signed a business agreement with the Catholic Kwandong University Health and Medical Convergence Research Institute for the joint development of digital therapeutics.


Through this business agreement, One Immers and the Catholic Kwandong University Health and Medical Convergence Research Institute will collaborate on research and development related to ▲development of forest healing service models targeting high-stress risk groups ▲development of healing content integrated with digital technology ▲clinical effectiveness of operational models for forest healing programs that can be effectively utilized both online and offline.


One Immers is a virtual reality (VR) game specialist developer that has distributed its self-developed VR game ‘Dessert Slice’ to over 200 stations in more than 10 countries worldwide. Based on the technological expertise accumulated in VR game development, it plans to establish a process for digital therapeutics development using the database obtained through collaboration with medical staff from the Catholic Kwandong University Health and Medical Convergence Research Institute and International St. Mary’s Hospital.


Yang Bogeun, Head of VR Business at One Immers, stated, “Digital therapeutics focus on diseases that can achieve therapeutic effects through behavioral corrections related to lifestyle habits such as sleep, nutrition, and exercise,” adding, “We expect that by integrating with forest healing programs, it will be possible to develop content that can lead the digital therapeutics market.”


Meanwhile, One Immers, an affiliate of YJM Games, plans to develop therapeutics using various digital contents starting with this digital therapeutics business agreement. Additionally, it aims to lead the digital therapeutics development market using VR content by securing know-how on the application of VR technology for various diseases targeted by digital therapeutics.
