Samsung Engineering Reappoints President Choi Sung-an at Shareholders' Meeting Choi Sung-an, CEO of Samsung Engineering

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 18th, Samsung Engineering reappointed President Choi Sung-an as an inside director at the 54th General Meeting of Shareholders held at the Sangil-dong headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and subsequently appointed him as CEO at the board meeting. The term is three years.


President Choi is a plant expert and engineer who has experience in various fields of design, procurement, and construction (EPC), including business and procurement, and has been leading the company since 2018.


On the same day, Samsung Engineering newly appointed Vice President Jung Joo-sung as an inside director. Vice President Jung is a financial expert who has worked in finance and management for over 30 years at Samsung and currently serves as the head of the Management Support Office and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).


In addition, former Vice President Park Il-dong of the Korea Export-Import Bank was appointed as an outside director and member of the Audit Committee. All agenda items submitted that day, including approval of financial statements and approval of director remuneration limits, were passed as originally proposed.


President Choi said, "Despite uncertainties last year, we achieved valuable results through years of continuous innovation and systematic crisis response. We will maximize profitability by enhancing productivity and efficiency through digital technological innovation and make every effort to secure future growth engines for sustainable growth."
