[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] A total of 385 housing units and office facilities will be built through an urban maintenance-type redevelopment project in the Ahyeon-dong area of Mapo-gu, Seoul.
On the 17th, Seoul held the 3rd Urban Planning Committee meeting and announced on the 18th that it had approved the revised maintenance plan for the Mapo-ro 3 District 1 Zone urban maintenance-type redevelopment project.
The main point of this review is to relax the floor area ratio in the area of 617-1 Ahyeon-dong, Mapo-gu, near Aeogae Station (4,602.88㎡), and to expand housing supply.
Seoul City relaxed the floor area ratio of the quasi-residential area from 546% to 642% due to the introduction of public housing and increased the scale of housing supply through additional donation of rental housing. A total of 176 apartment units, including 58 rental housing units, and 209 officetel units will be supplied. It is also planned to establish a startup support center with a total floor area of 4,921.64㎡ within the district.
Seoul City stated, "We expect to revitalize the deteriorated urban space along Mapodaero into a self-sufficient living and cultural hub."
