In October 2020, 27-year-old Jang Deok-jun, who worked at a Coupang logistics center, died of overwork. Lawyer Choi examined the working environment of the deceased focusing on this case. She then looked into how the claims of Coupang and the bereaved family differed, and the reasons why the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service recognized it as an industrial accident.
Lawyer Choi emphasized, "Coupang's achievements are made possible by the efforts of the workers," and added, "The working environment must be improved to prevent industrial accidents."
