[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The June mock test for the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) will be held on June 3.
On the 16th, the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation announced that the June mock test will be conducted in accordance with this year's CSAT system. This mock test will apply the 2015 revised curriculum, and the linkage rate of EBS CSAT textbooks and lectures will be 50%, the same as this year's CSAT.
The test areas are divided into Korean, Mathematics, English, Korean History, Inquiry (Social Studies, Science, Vocational), and Second Foreign Language and Chinese Characters. All examinees must take the Korean History section, while the other sections can be taken by selecting all or some of the areas.
The Korean and Mathematics sections follow a 'common subject + elective subject' structure, where the common subject is taken by all, and one elective subject is chosen from each area. The Korean elective subjects are Speech and Writing, Language and Media. The Mathematics elective subjects are Probability and Statistics, Calculus, and Geometry. For Social Studies and Science Inquiry, two subjects can be selected from 17 subjects. For Vocational Inquiry, two subjects can be chosen from six, and among the two subjects, the specialized common subject 'Successful Vocational Life' must be taken. In the English section, out of a total of 45 questions, 17 are listening questions, and the listening test lasts within 25 minutes.
Starting from the June mock test, answer sheets for the Korean History and Inquiry sections will be provided separately to examinees. After the Korean History section exam time ends, the Korean History question and answer sheets will be collected, and the Inquiry section question and answer sheets will be distributed, with 15 minutes allocated for the collection and distribution. During this time, examinees who did not select the Inquiry section may move to the waiting room.
This mock test is for all examinees eligible to take the 2022 CSAT. Examinees who applied for the first 2021 High School Graduation Equivalency Examination can also take the test. The registration period is from April 5 to 15.
Currently enrolled students should apply at their school, graduates can apply at their former high school or an academy of their choice, and examinees without a former school such as equivalency test takers should apply at one of the 86 district education offices or academies available in their current residential area. Examinees other than currently enrolled students must pay a fee of 12,000 KRW. Score reports can be collected at the registration office on June 30.
Items prohibited in the test room are the same as those for the CSAT. These include watches with Bluetooth, communication, or payment functions or electronic display screens, electronic cigarettes, and earphones with Bluetooth functionality. Analog watches with only hour, minute (and second) hands are allowed.
