SSG Landers Unveil Official Emblem and Logo... Team Color is 'Charismatic Red'

Shinsegae Group has finalized the team colors, emblem, and logo of the SSG Landers baseball team.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Shinsegae Group announced on the 12th that it has finalized the team color, emblem, and logo of the SSG Landers baseball team.

The color symbolizing the team is "Charismatic Red." It represents a passionate red color embodying the desire for victory and intense charisma. The red color is not only symbolic of Shinsegae Group but also reflects the fans' wishes to carry on the heritage of Incheon baseball.

The main emblem depicts an image of a spaceship landing on an uncharted frontier. The top part features a landing craft, one of the meanings behind "Landers," touching down on a new unexplored territory, while the center bears the new logo of SSG LANDERS. Shinsegae Group explained that this symbolizes their determination to pioneer a new history of victory by presenting a professional baseball team unlike any before.

The team symbol was decided as "L’s," an abbreviation of LANDERS. While no domestic professional baseball teams use an apostrophe-s ('s) design in their symbols, in Major League Baseball, the Oakland Athletics are well-known for using "A’s" as an abbreviation of their team name in their symbol.

A Shinsegae Group official said, "We hope that various events utilizing the Landers' emblem and logo will serve as enjoyable communication channels among the team, fans, and the local community," adding, "With the team name, emblem, and logo finalized, we will accelerate uniform production and mascot selection to ensure there are no setbacks in preparing for the regular season."
