[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] SK Telecom supports ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) education for its business partners. It also plans to open up spaces so that partner company employees can use the Shared Growth Center as a base office.
On the morning of the 11th, SK Telecom held the 'Shared Growth CEO Forum' for about 400 representatives and employees of its excellent business partners and shared its ESG management policy.
The forum, held via non-face-to-face video conference, was attended by 175 excellent business partners of SK Telecom, including UNgel, a service software development and supply company, and Tibel, a service quality verification company, who signed a fair trade agreement in 2021.
To support business partners with internal ESG education needs, SK Telecom decided to establish an online lecture program this month. SK Telecom will cover all costs related to ESG education, and business partners can choose from courses held three times a year to learn.
Online recruitment support for business partners will also be expanded. Last year, SK Telecom opened the 'SKT Biz Partner Recruitment Center' on the online recruitment site 'Saramin,' providing brochures introducing business partners and covering banner advertising costs to assist in hiring new talent.
Additionally, SK Telecom announced plans to open the Shared Growth Center space so that business partner members can use it like a base office. Furthermore, during the second half of this year, the newly established 'Shared Growth Happiness Week' will intensively operate existing shared growth events such as the CEO Forum, 'Happiness Camp,' and 'Pride Award' over 2 to 3 days to expand the scale.
This forum invited more than ten times the number of business partners compared to previous years by leveraging the advantages of untact (contactless) methods. Also, practical staff as well as CEOs were allowed to participate to broaden communication.
Kim Jonggyun, CEO of Tibel, who attended the event, said, "It was a time to clearly understand SK Telecom's growth vision and ESG management policy and to consider concrete cooperation plans." Ahn Jeongyeol, head of SK Telecom's SCM Group, said, "We will continue to strengthen the foundation to grow together with partners based on the ESG management pursued by SK."
