Postponed Until After JointGovernmentInvestigationTeam Announces Results on the 11th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The government has postponed the real estate market inspection meeting originally scheduled for the 10th to the 12th. Accordingly, the government's additional supply measures are also expected to be announced later than anticipated.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 9th, the government decided to postpone the real estate-related ministers' meeting to the 12th. This decision was made based on the judgment that it is appropriate to announce the direction of additional supply measures after the joint government investigation team reveals the results of the investigation related to speculation allegations involving Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) on the 11th.
Earlier, Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, emphasized, "The housing supply measures, including the 2·4 supply plan to provide 830,000 housing units, will be carried out as scheduled," and added, "We will implement the three major real estate policy action items."
Meanwhile, the government plans to disclose selected candidate sites for the 2·4 supply plan and the second phase of public redevelopment candidate sites under the 8·4 plan through consultations with the private sector and local governments within this month.
