The appellate court for Jo Joo-bin merges cases of criminal organization and concealment of criminal proceeds

[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Seoul High Court Criminal Division 9 (Presiding Judge Kwangseop Moon) announced on the 9th that it will consolidate the trials of Jo Joo-bin, who was separately indicted on charges of organizing a criminal group and concealing criminal proceeds.

On the morning of the same day, the court made this decision during the second appeal hearing for Jo and others. In the previous first trial, the hearings for these cases were conducted separately. At that time, the first trial court sentenced Jo to 40 years in prison for the charges of organizing a criminal group and 5 years in prison for the charges of concealing criminal proceeds.

The appellate court has scheduled the third hearing for the morning of the 30th.
