[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 9th, the Wongsang Health Center in Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam announced that it will conduct a "Non-face-to-face Health Class for Pregnant Women and Infants."
This health class was prepared to provide various information about pregnancy and childcare to eliminate vague fears about childbirth, promote the health of pregnant women and infants, and create a childbirth-friendly atmosphere.
The schedule runs from April to October, once a week (every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM), consisting of 4-week and 7-term sessions.
By inviting experts, the program includes prenatal yoga to relieve body pains caused by pregnancy and baby massage classes that stimulate the skin according to the physical development of infants, aiming to educate on forming a healthy attachment between mother and child.
As COVID-19 has prolonged, the classes will be conducted through real-time non-face-to-face video education using Zoom, allowing convenient participation from home.
Applications can be made by visiting the Wongsang Health Center or via email.
Eligibility includes pregnant women over 20 weeks and infants aged 2 to 6 months residing in the eastern area of Yangsan-si.
An Gap-sook, director of Wongsang Health Center, stated, "Pregnancy and childbirth are important processes in building a happy family. Through non-face-to-face education, we will do our best to ease the fears of prospective parents and make Yangsan-si a great place to have and raise children."
