Honam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Leads Gwangsan-gu Youth Employment Project


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation announced on the 9th that it has been selected as the entrusted institution for the Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City region-led youth job project for two consecutive years.


Accordingly, this year as well, it will carry out the 'Small and Medium Enterprise Dormitory Rental Support Project' to improve the employment environment of small and medium enterprises and the residential conditions of young workers.


The Small and Medium Enterprise Dormitory Rental Support Project has secured a budget of 325.4 million KRW, prioritizing continuous support for 38 existing participating companies, and plans to additionally support up to 20 companies within the budget range.


The eligible participants are small and medium enterprises with fewer than 50 employees located in Hanam, Jingok, Pyeongdong Industrial Complexes, and other individual sites. Recruitment will be on a first-come, first-served basis from the 10th to the 31st, and rental fees will be supported from March for the selected companies.


Yoon In-mo, head of Honam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said, "Given the location conditions of the industrial complex, this will help resolve commuting inconveniences," adding, "We will strive to improve the employment environment of local small and medium enterprises and create quality jobs to help young people settle in the region."
