Major Discount on Key Consumer Sectors for 3050 Generation
Baby Kits and Starbucks Gifticons Given to 5,000 People in Launch Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Woori Card announced on the 9th that it has launched the 'Gukmin Haengbok Card S2' (credit) and 'Gukmin Haengbok Check Card S2,' which allow integrated use of government support vouchers for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare with a single card.
The two types of Gukmin Haengbok Card S2 released this time have enhanced customer convenience to enable integrated use of all vouchers in line with the government's planned unified implementation of support vouchers next month. Considering that the main users of the vouchers are in their 30s to 50s, the cards offer discounts on shopping, daily life, and untact life services frequently used by this age group, as well as discounts at overseas merchants and premium tour services.
The credit card 'Gukmin Haengbok Card S2' provides a 5% discount at department stores, large discount stores, online shopping, mobile communication, monthly utility payments (city gas and electricity bills), and rental sectors, and a 7% discount at hospitals, postpartum care centers, pharmacies, daycare centers, kindergartens, study materials, academies, and bookstores. Additionally, it offers a 20% discount on video and music services such as Netflix, YouTube Premium, Wavve, and Melon, as well as membership and e-book services like Naver Plus, Kyobo Bookstore SAM, and Yes24.
The 'Gukmin Haengbok Check Card S2' also provides cashback benefits of 2% in the same sectors as the credit card?shopping, mobile communication, monthly utility payments, and rental?and up to 3% cashback in medical, childcare, and study material sectors. It also offers 10% cashback on video and music services and membership and e-book services.
Both the credit and check cards offer 1-2% discounts and cashback benefits on overseas payments (including overseas direct purchases) for payments over 10,000 KRW. The credit card has a monthly limit of 20,000 KRW, while the check card has a monthly limit of 10,000 KRW.
There are also premium tour service benefits available only when issuing the credit card. These include 24 hours free rental car use when renting a car in Jeju Island for 48 consecutive hours, discounts on domestic and international airline tickets, hotels, condos, and package tours, providing various travel-related benefits.
Both domestic-only and overseas-compatible (Mastercard) versions of the two Gukmin Haengbok Card S2 types have no annual fees.
A launch commemorative prize event is also being held. From the 15th of this month until the end of June, customers who issue the Gukmin Haengbok Check Card S2 and spend over 100,000 KRW will be entered into a draw to receive baby kits (500 winners) and Starbucks gifticons (4,500 winners). However, participation in the event is mandatory.
