[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 8th, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced that it submitted the first supplementary budget for 2021 to the county council, totaling 533.3 billion won, an increase of 9.3 billion won from the original budget for this year.


The county prepared this first supplementary budget focusing on completing projects related to the upcoming ‘2021 Hamyang Sansam Anti-Aging Expo’ scheduled in six months, such as repainting lane markings on major roads in Hamyang-eup downtown, and other key pending projects.


Looking at the breakdown of increased expenditures by sector, the largest was 6.3 billion won for land and regional development, followed by 2.4 billion won for culture and tourism, 1.7 billion won for agriculture, forestry, marine and fisheries, and 1.4 billion won for the environment.


Major expenditure items include 500 million won for four forest houses in the Forest Ecological Culture Experience Complex to ensure the successful hosting of the Expo in six months, 300 million won for maintenance such as repainting lane markings on major roads in Hamyang-eup downtown, 300 million won for creating scenic trails around the Expo, and 280 million won for the settlement of project costs for the construction of Seo Hamyang IC.


This first supplementary budget will be approved and finalized at the 260th Hamyang County Council extraordinary session starting on the 18th.
