Recruiting 30 Young Job Seekers from the 8th to 12th... 'Youth Information Security Specialist Training Program' Connecting 25 Participants to Employment after IT Expert Education Including Information Security
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is recruiting 30 local youth job seekers to participate in support projects that can serve as a stepping stone for employment from March 8 to 12.
The projects operated by the district this time are the ‘Youth Information Security Specialist Training Course’ and the ‘Jungnang Win-Win Youth Internship Project.’
First, the ‘Youth Information Security Specialist Training Course’ is a project that provides specialized education in IT fields such as information security and connects participants to stable jobs required in the 4th industrial revolution job sites.
The target is 25 youth aged 19 to 34 residing in Jungnang-gu who are preparing for employment. The training course will be conducted for five months starting in April, covering information security topics such as introduction to information security, Linux and Windows servers, and penetration testing, operated both online and offline.
The training fee is completely free.
In particular, even after the training, to support employment linkage, management plans such as ▲ customized employment camps (practical lectures, expert invited job-specific lectures, practical job preparation, interview consulting, mock interviews, etc.) ▲ practical expert mentor-mentee programs (1:5 mentoring with practical experts) ▲ follow-up management (discovering related field employers and linking to employment) are prepared, which is expected to provide practical help to job seekers.
Also, the newly launched ‘Jungnang Win-Win Youth Internship Project’ this year supports five local youth aged 19 to 39 to work as youth interns at small and medium-sized enterprises and social economy enterprises in the region for nine months from April to December.
If selected as a youth intern, they can receive a wage of about 1.7 million KRW per month based on working five days a week and six hours a day. To help accumulate practical job experience necessary for employment during the internship period, simple clerical assistant tasks are excluded as much as possible.
Youth who wish to participate in the ‘Youth Information Security Specialist Training Course’ and the ‘Jungnang Win-Win Youth Internship Project’ can apply through the Jungnang-gu Office website under Citizen Participation → Internet Application.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Job Creation Division of Jungnang-gu Office.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “I hope this employment support project will be a good opportunity for local youth to enhance their employment competitiveness,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various projects that provide practical help for youth employment.”
