[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Wang Yi, China's State Councilor and Foreign Minister, warned the Biden administration of the United States, stating that it will not tolerate interference in its internal affairs.
At a press conference of the National People's Congress (NPC) on the 7th, Wang expressed this position regarding China's stance on recent US-China relations.
He pointed out, "The principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries must be strictly observed," adding, "Issues raised by the Biden administration such as human rights, the South China Sea, Taiwan, the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, Hong Kong, and Tibet mostly fall within China's internal affairs."
Wang emphasized, "Groundless slander can never be accepted, and infringements on core interests are absolutely intolerable."
He also added, "The United States has frequently used democracy and human rights as a pretext to interfere in other countries' internal affairs, causing problems and even provoking chaos and war."
