[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] Two patients in long-term care hospitals died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. One patient in a long-term care hospital is currently hospitalized for seizures.

All three individuals are inpatients with underlying health conditions at long-term care hospitals.

On the 5th, the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Task Force announced that since 2 PM the previous day, two death cases and one seizure case following COVID-19 vaccination have been reported and are currently under investigation.

The deceased A is a man in his 40s who died around 1 PM on the 4th, 46 hours after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine at approximately 3 PM on the 2nd.

The deceased B is a man in his 60s who died around 8:30 PM on the 4th, 54 hours after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine at approximately 2 PM on the 2nd.

The suspected seizure case C is a woman in her 40s who developed a fever 12 hours after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine around 11 AM on the 3rd, followed by seizures, and was transferred to a general hospital for treatment.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Task Force stated, "We plan to evaluate causality by conducting an epidemiological investigation and convening a damage investigation team."
