[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 5th that President Son Byung-seok participated in the campaign "Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge" to prevent traffic accidents involving children and to create a safe traffic environment.
The "Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge" was initiated in December last year under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to prevent traffic accidents in school zones and to establish a child-first traffic safety culture.
The challenge involves taking a photo with the slogan "Stop at 1! Look both ways at 2! For 3 seconds! Prevent 4 dangers," posting it on social media, and nominating three next participants.
President Son said, "I hope a traffic culture that prioritizes the safety of young children will quickly take root," adding, "We will put more effort into railway safety activities for children, such as crossing railway crossings and boarding and alighting trains."
Meanwhile, President Son nominated the following participants: Kim Jin-sook, President of Korea Expressway Corporation; Kim Han-young, Chairman of the Korea National Railway; and actor Son Hyun-joo, who is hosting MBC's entertainment program 'Ganiyeok'.
