Verbal Abuse While Eating a Hamburger Without a Mask on the KTX

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] The Special Judicial Police for Railways announced on the 5th that a woman, Ms. A, was booked for defamation after verbally abusing passenger Mr. B, who tried to stop her from eating without wearing a mask on a KTX train.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the victim Mr. B filed a complaint with the railway police on the 4th, requesting punishment for Ms. A. In response, the railway police investigated both Ms. A and Mr. B on the day the complaint was received, and after reviewing witness statements and video footage of the incident, Ms. A was booked.
A railway police official stated, "We will conduct a thorough investigation according to the law and principles and promptly transfer the case to the prosecution." He added, "For the safety of railway transportation, passengers using trains must strictly comply with quarantine rules such as wearing masks."
