[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Volkswagen Korea announced on the 5th that it will hold the '2021 All Model Customer Test Drive and Consultation Event' at 34 Volkswagen showrooms nationwide until the 28th of this month.
Volkswagen Korea explained that at this test drive and consultation event, customers can experience a total of five models, including the newly launched business sedan New Passat GT and the new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) T-Roc released earlier this year, as well as the 2021 model Jetta, Arteon, and Tiguan, which were launched last year.
Volkswagen Korea will also hold a prize event in conjunction with the all-model customer test drive and consultation event. Customers who complete the test drive and consultation application will be entered into a draw to win Shinsegae Department Store gift certificates worth 300,000 KRW (34 winners) and 100,000 KRW (68 winners), totaling 102 winners. Additionally, among customers who test drive and consult on the new T-Roc, 34 winners will be selected by lottery to receive T-Roc goods (T-shirts, eco bags, stickers) worth approximately 150,000 KRW.
Applications for the event can be made through the Volkswagen Korea website, and applicants should visit the designated showroom on the specified test drive date to participate. Stefan Krapp, Head of Volkswagen Division at Audi Volkswagen Korea, said, "This customer consultation and test drive event is an opportunity to experience not only the newly introduced New Passat GT and New T-Roc in Korea this year but also the entire model lineup." He added, "We hope that everyone interested in Volkswagen will experience Volkswagen's popular lineups, which combine solid fundamentals and cutting-edge technology, through this event."
Meanwhile, Volkswagen Korea will conduct various promotions on all models sold throughout March. In particular, additional customer benefits will be provided from March for the 2021 new cars, Passat GT and New T-Roc. For the New Passat GT, which has high replacement demand from existing vehicles, the existing maximum discount of up to 8% will be maintained, while the vehicle return compensation program benefits will be increased from 3 million KRW to 4.5 million KRW.
For the New T-Roc, starting in March, a 5-year or 150,000 km free warranty benefit will be provided, along with the addition of the 'Body & Parts Protection' program, which covers repair costs for paint and parts due to accidents for one year. Furthermore, new car customers will receive a welcome service and a Volkswagen certified black box free of charge.
