[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] On the 5th, Park Beom-gye, Minister of Justice, will visit the Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office and Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office. Attention is focused on whether he will make any remarks regarding Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's resignation the day before.


According to the Ministry of Justice, Minister Park plans to visit the Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office and District Prosecutors' Office at 12 PM that day to hold a staff meeting and listen to the voices of on-site prosecutors.


He will have lunch with Koo Bon-seon, Chief Prosecutor of Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office, and Yeo Hwan-seop, Chief Prosecutor of Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office, followed by encouraging outstanding employees and conducting the staff meeting schedule in sequence.


The staff meeting, scheduled to last about 40 minutes, will be attended by six ordinary prosecutors. It is expected that Minister Park will discuss with the staff matters related to Prosecutor General Yoon's resignation the day before.


The day before, Prosecutor General Yoon expressed his intention to resign in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office building in Seocho-dong, Seoul, opposing the ruling party's push to establish the Serious Crime Investigation Office (Jungsucheong).


Meanwhile, Minister Park will also attend the opening ceremony of the Mokpo Smile Center at 4 PM that day. The Smile Center is a specialized trauma healing institution for crime victims, providing professional psychological healing services to victims of violent crimes. The Smile Center opening in Mokpo is the 16th center nationwide.


Visiting a local prosecutors' office for the third time since his inauguration, Minister Park also held a staff meeting during his visit to the Daejeon High Prosecutors' Office on the 24th. According to the Ministry of Justice, Minister Park plans to continue his steady on-site activities going forward.
